Feature upgrades on the SmartGuitar and app suite makes the jamstik+ more versatile than ever and coincides with an expanded educational initiative

(MINNEAPOLIS January 21, 2016) – Zivix, the technology company with a mission to make music accessible to everyone, today announced major upgrades to the award-winning jamstik+. By supporting the Android Marshmallow (M) OS (select handsets and tablets), the SmartGuitar is now compatible with the two most popular operating systems in the world, opening up new possibilities for current and future musicians. Coinciding with this new OS support are new features such as updated hammer-ons, string bend and tapping modes, delivering an even more exhilarating guitar playing experience.

Expanded teaching capabilities in the robust suite of apps make music learning more intuitive and engaging than ever before. Throughout 2016 players will have access to additional lessons, more arcade challenges and third party partner apps like the Musopia Four Chords Guitar Karaoke app for an engaging and immersive experience. Demos showcasing all of the latest enhancements will be at NAMM in Booth #4798 in Hall C. Zivix will also have special artists performances at the Zivix booth as well as the Hal Leonard Booth #5720 in Hall G.

jamstik+ Educational Just PlayInitiative

To combat a nearly 90% fall off rate for new guitar players, Zivix is working on expanding the educational initiatives focusing on more visibility within MI dealers, K-12 and supporting a variety of EDU trade shows. The goals are to showcase ease of use, accessibility and the ability to make learning fun, providing real results to get all new players over the initial hurdles. With the updated suite of apps from Zivix as well as a partnership with Four Chords –in which users can access 1,000’s of popular songs–players have more options than ever to play like their favorite musicians. With a number of pilot programs completed this past year, Zivix feels that 2016 will be the year the jamstik+ reaches an expanded number of classrooms in a big way with better apps, integration support, and a true focus on education.
