Everybody loves lunch breaks. If you are a producer / beat maker, I can only assume you love a good drum break or two as well. So, here we have J-Zone, in conjunction with Redefinition Records & The Drum Broker, putting in work to give us “LUNCH BREAKS”.
The basics of the story is… J-Zone is a self-taught late-blooming drummer that comes from a hip-hop and beat makers background with an MPC as his foundation. He took up drums and became totally obsessed with vintage drums, drummers and recording techniques. Well, this collection of breaks is the culmination of all the things that J-Zone has obsessed over for the last few years. Thanks to Redefinition Records & The Drum Broker it is now available on vinyl and cassette.
The video that follows finds J-Zone in a very informative and retrospective space with regards to his career and journey from emcee and producer to drummer.
