I had the chance to speak with Illmind at BeatcampLA at SAE Institute recently. I must say that he is one of the most down to earth brothers you could ever wish to meet. He is all about the music. He is passionate about the beats. He is genuinely interested in helping beat makers learn, grow and get paid. This is as evident in his Twitter timeline as it is in his advice to aspiring beat makers while he sits on the panel at BeatCamp.

One thing we all know about Illmind is that he is a complete black out artist on the beats. [TRUTH!] But another thing is apparent… His drum kit game is market leading and “crazy-go-nuts-&-bananas.” So it is always a treat to see another BLAP KIT drop. As such here drops Blap Kit Vol 5.

This kit features more drum rolls, percussion, vocal samples and breaks. Illmind even went vintage on this one with that classic Akai S-20 (the poor man’s MPC from the late 90s – my first drum machine I might add).
