Grammy-nominated producer MdL publishes first project in FL Studio file format
NYC (May 20, 2014) – Blend, an online network where musicians share and collaborate on tracks, announces support for FL Studio project file format. In addition to allowing musicians to publish, pull, and collaborate on tracks made with FL Studio, Blend will automatically detect the version, plug-ins and BPM for each project.
The first ever project on Blend in FL Studio format has been published by Grammy-nominated producer MdL. Known for his production work with Mike Posner, Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson and many others, MdL went from being a bedroom beat maker to becoming a multi-platinum record producer. His backpack production rig enables him to create from anywhere and everywhere possible, and FL Studio features prominently in his arsenal.
“I started making hip-hop beats with FL Studio about 9 years ago. I have always been a computer nerd/music fan so the two kind of went hand in hand for me”, said MdL. “Over the years, I’ve used many different DAWs but I always find myself back on FL.”
MdL is among a growing number of producers collaborating on Blend such as Moby, Erin Barra, and Mad Zach as well as thousands more around the world. “Pushing modern production forward is always something I’m excited about, whether it’s about going laptop/backpack only, or watching projects like Blend, especially as the online integration becomes more seamless with production rigs,” adds MdL.
FL Studio is a complete software music production environment or DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) representing more than 14 years of innovative developments. It includes everything musicians need to compose, arrange, record, edit, mix and master professional quality music.

About Blend
Blend was created for musicians to connect and share in-progress tracks and collaborate, or “blend” each other’s works. While other networks focus on publishing completed music, Blend provides a platform for musicians to collaborate directly with each other in their native (source) format, such as Ableton Live, Maschine, Pro Tools, Logic, GarageBand and FL Studio.
