DOWN THE RHODES: Stanley Clarke

Stanley Clarke is known as a jazz fusion bassist and film score composer. Stanley Clarke blazed trails and became an innovator with the double bass and electric bass. His time spent playing with Chick Corea cemented both of their places as legends of jazz fusion.

For the crate diggers, you’ll probably recognize Stanley Clarke from these hip-hop cuts It Ain’t Hard to Tell by Nas (1994), Hip Hop by Mos Def (1999) and Betta Off Dead by Onyx (1995), to name a few.

In this video Stanley shares a bit of his experiences with Chick’s Rhodes.
