Las Vegas, January 6, 2015 – At the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show, held in Las Vegas between 6-9 January, audio specialist Sennheiser is launching innovative new headphones that take wireless listening experience to new levels. The new generation of Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM line has been expanded with two new wireless versions. A Bluetooth version of the URBANITE XL will also debut at CES, as will the new RS range of digital wireless headphones for home audio. Sennheiser is also launching an all new line of sports headphones.
“We’re excited to be launching brilliant new headphones that truly embody our pursuit of perfect sound,” said Maurice Quarré, Director Product Lifecycle Management at Sennheiser Consumer Electronics. “CES is one of the most important showcases for innovation and Sennheiser is at the forefront with products that set the listener free to enjoy great sound through the latest wireless technologies and advanced designs for sports.”
Next generation MOMENTUM goes wireless
CES sees the launch of the next generation of Sennheiser’s successful MOMENTUM and MOMENTUM On-Ear headphones. The new models offer the same fusion of performance, substance and design, but with enhanced wearing comfort and now feature folding headband designs for even greater portability.
For ultimate freedom on the move, the MOMENTUM family has been expanded with the launch of the MOMENTUM Wireless and MOMENTUM On-Ear Wireless. Both new headphones include NFC technology to quickly pair Bluetooth devices, while the advanced Active Noise Cancellation technology and 22 hour battery life make them the perfect headphones for a superior listening experience on the move.
URBANITE XL WIRELESS for a club sound on the move
With the launch of the new URBANITE XL WIRELESS, Sennheiser’s URBANITE range is also enhanced with cutting-edge wireless technology. Using Bluetooth 4.0, the URBANITE XL WIRELESS offers easy connectivity, with the ability to pair with up to eight devices. Great audio quality is delivered in true URBANITE style – with a deep bass and crystal clear trebles. The URBANITE XL WIRELESS also features an innovative, highly-intuitive touch panel interface on the right ear cup that lets users control volume, music playback and calls using the optional inline mic with a tap or slide of a finger.
RS line sets a new benchmark for wireless home audio
Sennheiser’s innovations in wireless audio will also benefit the listener at home, with the introduction of four new models in the new RS line of digital wireless headphones. Using the audio specialist’s proprietary wireless link technology, they deliver interference-free sound, highly reliable connectivity and excellent range.
The RS 165 provides a vibrant listening experience with optional bass boost, while the RS 175 offers a choice of virtual surround sound modes and switchable dynamic bass for greater involvement in home entertainment. Dedicated to an optimal hi-fi listening experience, the RS 185 – which, unlike the other headphones in the range, features an open design – offers a manual input level control for perfectly tailored unaltered sound. With the RS 195, Sennheiser has created a high-performing solution that can also help address specific personal hearing needs. Dedicated pre-sets and modes can increase speech intelligibility and tailor the sound to the user’s preferences.
A SPORTS for every sport
Sennheiser’s all new SPORTS headphone range features cutting-edge designs based on the latest scientific research into the impact of extreme movement on sound quality, comfort and fit. The MX 686 SPORTS and PMX 686 SPORTS feature open acoustics, giving a better awareness of external sounds that is ideal for outdoor sports such as running. Meanwhile, the CX 686 SPORTS’ and OCX 686 SPORTS’ closed ear-canal designs are perfect for indoor exercise to shield out the noise distractions in environments such as gyms.
All headphones in the SPORTS range are durable, lightweight and water-resistant with ergonomic designs that conform to the ear and allow maximum freedom of movement, while minimising noise from wind or from contact with the body or clothing.
