Could there be a Teenage Engineering OP-1 iOS app in the works? Teenage Engineering is the creator of what Engadget calls “the most anticipated synthesizer in the history of mankind.” That synth is the ultra portable, ultra sleek Teenage Engineering OP-1. The little thing is built like a tank. A damn sexy tank I might add.

The OP-1 is the all-in-one portable Synthesizer, Sampler and Controller. The Teenage Engineering OP-1 has additional features like the FM Radio and an assignable G-Force sensor for motion controlled effects. With OP-1’s built-in Tape feature you are able to record everything you do on to the 4 tracks, with overdubbing, reverse recording. Also features 8 built-in synthesizer engines, multiple effects and LFO’s and some really unique sequencers ready to explore. Connect it to your computer and control your DAW with the common play, stop, rec, forward and rewind. Use the 4 rotary encoders and 8 x 2 dedicated quick keys for fast selections.

Yeah… that’s the Teenage Engineering OP-1 in a nutshell. But given the fanfare and popularity of iOS development with music makers of all sorts, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Teenage Engineering OP-1 iPad app. One thing I know about the guys at Teenage Engineering is that there is always something new and inventive afoot.  They could be engineering an iOS app for something totally different and all new. Who knows?!
