IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors have been getting a good deal of buzz lately. Recently they showed up on my doorstep. I decided to do a quick unboxing video while i took my own first look at them.

IK Multimedia describes the iLoud Micro Monitors as “two extremely portable, high-performance bi-amped speakers that delivers a combined 50W RMS of power for solid bass, plenty of headroom and a stunningly defined stereo image. Whether you’re recording, editing, mixing or mastering audio, editing video, sound designing or gaming, iLoud Micro Monitor ensures your production will translate well to the huge variety of consumer devices — headphones, home stereo systems, gaming consoles, car audio systems, TVs, and other listening systems.”

I’m looking forward to taking a more in-depth look at these joints. My first thoughts of the iLoud Micro Monitors are that they are more compact than I thought. They also have Bluetooth. The most striking of all is that they sound pretty nice. The bass response is great. But for now, I am going to retreat to beat making and checking these out a bit further. Let me know if you have questions and I’ll cover them in the full review.
