Kimet RahTB or not TB? That is the question. Tim Webb of DiscChord dropped a bit of a bomb on the Internets last week when he declared “Korg has done the entire community a disservice by releasing a silver monosynth [Volca Bass] and calling a bass… thus confusing the entire internet into thinking its a TB 303 clone.”
Moments after this video went up, I’m pretty certain smoke emitted from twitter and YouTube enabled devices all overt the world. The debate raged a bit but given Tim’s demeanor in the video, I’m certain he could care less. At any rate, the video which I’ve dubbed “TB or not TB?” is a pretty good comparison / demo video for anyone thinking of buying the new Korg Volca Bass synth. So, here goes…
