The good folks at Moog Music took a bit of time at NAMM 2013 to demo the new Moog Sub Phatty for us. I have to say that the Moog Sub Phatty is one of the top three pieces of gear that I checked out while at NAMM 2013. The lows are mad impressive. The amount of controls available on the front panel are plenty. If you want psycho screaming leads, nutso-crazy spot rumbling bass or if you want ill kicks and analog percussion the Sub Phatty will surely quench your thirst.

I had the opportunity to play the Moog Sub Phatty with the MoogerFooger 104 delay and I was absolutely blown away. Moog has a winner with this one. Not to mention that Moog is known for endowing their products with the usual great sturdy all American build. The Moog Sub Phatty is no exception. It’s got some weight to it despite its small foot print. I can’t say enough good things about. I can’t wait to bring one home to the studio.
